About

One of the best things I ever did was setup a system where I can easily log my time. From here, I've been able to setup some basic analytics to give me a much more comprehensive view of where my time actually goes. This tool has been invaluable for helping me get traction in my life.

Have you ever wanted to understand where your time really goes?

I know I have.

And sure, I might be with myself all the time, but am I really paying that much attention? If I’m being honest, I can’t even remember what I had for breakfast yesterday, let alone how much time I spend doing various activities.

Moreover, I cannot say with any accuracy how I have spend my time, over time. That is, if I was to describe what I really did in the past 3 months, relying on memory alone would provide a very inaccurate picture.

That’s the problem with memory, it’s a very subjective tool.

Have you ever noticed that once we put a $ value on our time, suddenly we become interested. We tend to run a lot of crazy business analytics and optimisation strategies when we’re at work, but then we forget about it everywhere else.

Why not take the good in these systems and apply them to your own life?

One of the best things I ever did was setup a system where I can easily log and classify my time, as I move throughout my daily life. It’s a lot easier than you would think, but it’s amazing what you can see when you run a weekly, monthly, or even quarterly review to get an idea of where your time really goes.

To the left, you’ll find a list of tutorials you can easily run through to setup a small personal personal system that will take you to the next level in your business or latest project.
